Pinpoint Test Aa - Low Washer Fluid Warning Always On

  1. If warning never comes on, drain fluid from reservoir. Ensure reservoir is full if warning is always on. Turn ignition on. Wait for prove-out cycle to finish. If warning is always on, go to next step. If warning never comes on, go to step 4).
  2. Turn ignition off. Unplug connector from fluid sensor. Turn ignition on. If warning appears, go to next step. Replace fluid sensor if warning does not appear.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug EIC. Test Pink/Yellow wire for continuity between connector C1 terminal No. 10 and fluid level sensor.
  4. Perform step 4) of PINPOINT TEST V . If all voltages are as specified, go to next step. Repair appropriate wire if voltages are not as specified.
  5. Turn ignition off. Unplug connector from fluid level sensor. Connect jumper wire between harness connector terminals. Turn ignition on. If warning does not appear, go to next step. If warning appears, replace fluid level sensor.
  6. Turn ignition off. Unplug EIC connectors. Inspect for continuity between EIC harness connector C1 terminal No. 10 (Pink/Yellow wire) and fluid sensor. Inspect Black wire for continuity between fluid sensor harness connector and ground. Repair wire as necessary. If wires are okay, temporarily substitute known good EIC, then retest system.
