Wheel Hub & Bearings: Installation

  1. Inspect hub and knuckle for cracks, wear and scoring. Install dust shield on knuckle.
  2. Position wheel bearing in steering knuckle. Using Bearing Cup Replacer (T88T-1175-C) and a press, install wheel bearing into knuckle. Install snap ring in knuckle. Use Bushing Receiving Cup (T89P-5638-C3), Seal Replacer (T87C-6019-A) and a press to install wheel hub into steering knuckle.
  3. Install grease seal using Bearing Cup Replacer (T88CT-2598-D). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
