Pinpoint Test Hg - High Beam Warning Never/Always On

Observe EIC display. If high beam indicator is always on, go to next step. If high beam indicator is never on, go to step 4).
Turn ignition off. Unplug connector C256 at EIC. See Figure . Turn ignition on. If warning is not on, go to next step. If warning light remains on, replace EIC.
Unplug 7-pin connector from multifunction switch. If warning is no longer on, replace multifunction switch. If warning remains on, repair short to voltage on Light Green/Black wire between combination switch and headlights, or Gray/White wire between DRL module and EIC.
Turn ignition off. Unplug connectors from EIC. Connect fused jumper wire from positive battery terminal to EIC terminal No. 4 (Gray/White wire on mating connector C256). Connect EIC terminal No. 1 (Black/Light Blue wire on mating connector C256). If high beam warning comes on, go to next step. If high beam warning does not come on, replace EIC.
Reconnect EIC. Unplug 7-pin connector from multifunction switch. Using fused jumper wire, connect Light Green/Black wire at multifunction switch harness connector to positive battery terminal. If warning is now on, go to next step. If warning light is not on repair open in Light Green/Black wire between combination switch and headlights, or Gray/White wire between DRL module and EIC.
Test headlight switch. See HEADLIGHT SWITCH TEST under TESTING. If switch is okay, inspect Black/Orange wire for continuity between headlight switch and engine compartment fuse block. Inspect Red/Yellow wire for continuity between headlight switch and multifunction switch. Repair appropriate wire as necessary.
