Pinpoint Test GA - Ambient Temperature Sensor Diagnosis
- Unplug connector C254 at EIC. Check for battery voltage at Light Green/Yellow wire at harness connector. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair appropriate wire, or replace fuse No. 4.
- Turn ignition on. Wait 30 seconds. Unplug ambient temperature sensor, located at front center of engine compartment, on upper radiator support. Measure resistance between sensor terminals. If resistance is 33,000 - 47,000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace sensor.
- Inspect Dark Blue/Yellow wire between sensor and EIC connector C254 for continuity and shorts. Inspect Gray/Red wire for continuity to ground. If wires are okay, replace EIC. Repair appropriate wire as necessary.
