Removal & Installation (Continental, Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Mark VII, Mark VIII, Sable, Taurus & Town Car)

Disconnect battery ground cable. On vehicles with tilt wheel, adjust steering wheel to lowest position and remove tilt lever. See Figure and Figure . Remove lock cylinder. See LOCK CYLINDER (FUNCTIONAL) or LOCK CYLINDER (NON-FUNCTIONAL) .
Remove upper and lower shrouds. Remove multifunction switch from housing. Remove wiring harness retainer and disconnect electrical connectors from multifunction switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
