Test E (Code 45) Compressor Relay Circuit Or
VENT SOLENOID CIRCUIT SHORTED
- Remove and inspect 30-amp fuse in fuse/relay box behind battery. See TEST A (CODE 39), COMPRESSOR RELAY CIRCUIT. If fuse is blown, repair short in circuit No. 414 (Orange/Red wire). If fuse is not blown, go to next step.
- Turn air suspension switch to OFF position. Disconnect control module connector. Turn air suspension switch to ON position. Measure voltage between pin No. 23 of Black connector and pin No. 6 of Gray connector. See Figure . Battery voltage should be indicated. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If zero volts are present, circuit No. 420 (Dark Blue/Yellow wire) has short circuit. Go to next step before repairing.
- Measure voltage between pin No. 24 of Black connector and pin No. 6 of Gray connector. See Figure . Meter should indicate battery voltage. If battery voltage is indicated in this step and/or step 2), replace control module. If zero volts are indicated in this step and/or step 2), repair short circuit in circuit No. 420 (Dark Blue/Yellow wire) and/or circuit No. 421 (Pink wire). If Code 45 is repeated, replace control module.
NOTE:
Repeat SERVICE BAY DIAGNOSTICS under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS to verify repairs.
