VENT SOLENOID CIRCUIT SHORTED

  1. Remove and inspect 30-amp fuse in fuse/relay box behind battery. See TEST A (CODE 39), COMPRESSOR RELAY CIRCUIT. If fuse is blown, repair short in circuit No. 414 (Orange/Red wire). If fuse is not blown, go to next step.
  2. Turn air suspension switch to OFF position. Disconnect control module connector. Turn air suspension switch to ON position. Measure voltage between pin No. 23 of Black connector and pin No. 6 of Gray connector. See Figure . Battery voltage should be indicated. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If zero volts are present, circuit No. 420 (Dark Blue/Yellow wire) has short circuit. Go to next step before repairing.
  3. Measure voltage between pin No. 24 of Black connector and pin No. 6 of Gray connector. See Figure . Meter should indicate battery voltage. If battery voltage is indicated in this step and/or step 2), replace control module. If zero volts are indicated in this step and/or step 2), repair short circuit in circuit No. 420 (Dark Blue/Yellow wire) and/or circuit No. 421 (Pink wire). If Code 45 is repeated, replace control module.
NOTE: Repeat SERVICE BAY DIAGNOSTICS under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS to verify repairs.
