Height Sensor
Height sensor is mounted between frame crossmember and left rear upper control arm. The sensor gets shorter when rear of vehicle goes down and gets longer when rear of vehicle goes up. Magnets in lower slide portion of sensor move relative to sensor housing, generating signal sent to control module.
There are 3 possible conditions that control module interprets from signals from height sensor:
- Vehicle is at correct riding height - Measurement from ball stud to ball stud is 8.0-8.2" (204-209 mm).
- Vehicle is below riding height.
- Vehicle is above riding height.
