Air Compressor

The air compressor assembly consists of a compressor and vent solenoid. Neither component is serviceable. Compressor assembly is mounted in the engine compartment on left fender apron, below the air cleaner. The air compressor is a single cylinder, piston-type electric motor driven unit. It receives power through a relay, controlled by control module.

Pressurized air from compressor passes through a drier containing a drying agent. Moisture is released from the drier when air is vented from the air suspension system during normal operation. Drier may be replaced separately.
