Low Oil Level Warning Is Always On
- Park vehicle on level surface. Check engine oil level, and adjust as necessary. Turn ignition off. Wait at least 2 minutes. Set ignition switch to RUN position. Check message center for warning. If no warning appears, system is okay.
- If warning is displayed, turn ignition off. Disconnect wire from oil level sensor, located on oil pan. Wait at least 2 minutes. Set ignition switch to RUN position. Check message center for warning. If warning is displayed, go to next step. If no warning is displayed, replace sensor.
- Remove cluster. Disconnect wire from oil level sensor. Check continuity from cluster connector "A" terminal No. 14 (White/Pink wire) to ground. See Figure . If continuity does not exist, replace cluster. If continuity exists, repair short in circuit No. 258 (White/Pink wire).
