Cs Displayed, Gauge Blanks Out Fuel Tank Symbol & Displays Top 2 & Bottom 2 Bars Of Gauge

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove cluster. Secure connectors to prevent shorting. Measure resistance between cluster connector "A" terminals No. 6 (Yellow/White wire) and 8 (Orange/Yellow wire). See Figure . If resistance is 11-168 ohms, replace cluster. If resistance is not as specified, a short circuit exists in harness or sender.
  2. Disconnect battery ground cable. Lower fuel tank to access fuel sender connector. Unplug fuel sender connector. Measure resistance between cluster connector "A" terminals No. 6 (Yellow/White wire) and 8 (Orange/Yellow wire). If resistance is greater than 10,000 ohms, replace sender. If resistance is not as specified, check fuel sender wiring for a short circuit.
