Co Displayed, Gauge Blanks Out Fuel Tank Symbol & Displays Top 2 & Bottom 2 Bars Of Gauge

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Lower fuel tank to access fuel sender connector. Unplug fuel sender connector. Connect jumper wire between harness connector terminals (Yellow/White and Orange/Yellow wires). Reconnect battery ground cable. Set ignition switch to RUN position. Check display for CO or CS. Gauge may take several minutes to respond. If CS appears, go to next step. If CO appears, go to step 3).
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance of fuel sender at sender terminals. If resistance is not 11-168 ohms, replace sender. If resistance is 11-168 ohms, inspect fuel sender wiring connector terminals for flash and loose fit. Repair as necessary.
  3. Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove cluster. Secure connectors to prevent shorting. Verify continuity between cluster connector "A" terminals No. 6 (Yellow/White wire) and 8 (Orange/Yellow wire). See Figure . If continuity exists, replace cluster. If continuity does not exist, repair open circuit in fuel sender wiring.
