Temperature Gauge Short Check No. 1

Unplug coolant sensor connector. Set ignition switch to RUN position. Observe temperature gauge. If temperature gauge indicates hot, go to TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHORT CHECK NO. 2. If temperature gauge does not indicate hot, replace coolant temperature sensor.
