Fuel Gauge Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on (engine not running). Check fuel gauge and warning lights for proper operation. If warning lights are inoperative and fuel gauge indicates empty, see INSTRUMENT PANEL FUSE CHECK.
  2. If warning lights are operative and fuel gauge indicates empty, go to FUEL GAUGE CHECK. If fuel gauge always indicates full, go to FUEL GAUGE SHORT CHECK NO. 1. If fuel gauge is not accurate, go to FUEL GAUGE TESTING.
