Instrument Cluster: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel. Remove 2 screws securing steering column cover. Remove cover.
  2. Remove 9 retaining screws from panel module. See Figure . Carefully pull panel module outward to access electrical connections.
  3. Unplug electrical connectors from cover. Remove ignition switch illumination bulb. Remove panel module.
  4. Loosen 2 cover hinge screws. See Figure . Remove 6 screws from instrument panel cover. Remove cover.
    NOTE: Ensure rubber seal joining upper and lower portion of panel cover trim panels is not ripped during removal and installation.
  5. Remove lower trim panel and 4 panel retaining screws. Unplug 3 electrical connectors from back of panel. Remove panel.
