Rocker Arms & Valve Lash Adjusters: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure all camshaft bearing caps are installed in original location with arrow pointing toward front of engine. If camshaft bearing caps were removed, apply silicone sealant in proper areas. See Fig 2.
  2. Tighten rocker arm bolts evenly to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article.
  3. Apply silicone sealant at front and rear housing-to-cylinder head areas before installing valve cover. See Fig 2. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
