Cylinder Head: Inspection

  1. Check cylinder head warpage at deck surface. Warpage must not exceed specification. See CYLINDER HEAD  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS at end of article.
    CAUTION: DO NOT machine more than .008" (.20 mm) from original thickness of cylinder head.
  2. Check cylinder block deck surface. Resurface cylinder block if warpage exceeds specification. See CYLINDER BLOCK  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS at end of article.
CAUTION: DO NOT machine more than .008" (.20 mm) from original height of cylinder block.
