Removal & Disassembly

  1. Remove timing belt and crankshaft sprocket. See, in this article, TIMING BELT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove oil pan and pick-up tube. See OIL PAN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove retaining bolts, oil pump, "O" ring and gasket. Disassemble oil pump. Note direction of rotor installation in oil pump body. Remove seal from pump housing.
