Removal (Bronco & Pickup)
- Remove Allen screws securing locking hub cap assembly. See Figure . Remove cap assembly and bearing components. Remove snap ring (retainer ring) from end of axle shaft.
- Remove lock ring (seated in groove of wheel hub). Slide hub body assembly out of wheel hub. If necessary, install 2 cap screws and pull body from hub.
NOTE:
DO NOT pack grease into cap assembly. Excess grease can cause an increase in dialing effort.
