Releasing Cable Tension (Except Aerostar)

Have an assistant pull on intermediate cable until all cable is unwound from parking brake foot pedal assembly. Insert a 5/16 inch drill bit or equivalent into hole in foot pedal assembly. See Fig 1. Disconnect front cable from cable connector under vehicle. Disconnect barrel end of cable from foot pedal assembly. Compress conduit snap fitting and pull cable from foot pedal assembly.
