Speedometer (AEROSTAR, Bronco, ECONOLINE, F-Pickup)

Speedometer is inoperative; CHECK ENGINE light is illuminated and/or Speed Control is inoperative. The probable cause could be one or more of the following:

• No power to Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module
• No vehicle speed support
• Open ground
• Inoperative Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module

1. If there is no power to Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module, check for voltage at Pins 1 and 3.
2. If there is no vehicle speed support check for approximately 3.5 volts AC between Pins 4 and 5 of Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module with vehicle speed approximately 30 mph.
3. If there is an open ground, check for continuity to ground at Pin 2 of Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module.
