Oil Pump: Inspection
- Inspect components for damage. Measure inner-to-outer gear tip clearance. Place straightedge across cover area on pump housing. Measure gear-to-cover clearance between inner and outer gears and straightedge.
- Measure outer gear-to-housing clearance. Check relief valve spring tension. Replace components or pump assembly if not within specifications. See OIL PUMP SPECIFICATIONS table.
