Removal & Installation (Cougar & Thunderbird)

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove lower left trim panel from knee level of instrument panel. Remove lower left reinforcement panel.
  2. Remove lower shroud. See Figure . Remove steering column mounting nuts. Remove upper shroud. Disconnect multifunction switch electrical connector. Remove multifunction switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
