Installation (Tempo & Topaz)

  1. Install contact assembly onto upper bearing retainer plate. Ensure clockspring ground wire is attached at contact assembly lower retaining screw. Remove tape (original contact assembly) or locking insert (new contact assembly).
  2. Connect clockspring electrical connector to column harness. Install upper and lower shrouds. Install steering wheel. Connect clockspring electrical connector to terminal on air bag module. Install air bag module. Connect battery ground cable and back-up power supply. Check AIR BAG light for system faults.
