Electrical System

SRS is powered directly from battery and can function with ignition switch in any position, including OFF and LOCK. System can also function when driver and passenger seats are unoccupied. The 3 main functions performed by electrical subsystem are as follows: detecting an impact, switching electric power to ignitors for air bags, and monitoring readiness of SRS.
