Exhaust Manifold: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove accessory drive belt and alternator. Remove radiator cooling fan and shroud. Remove heat shield from exhaust manifold.
  2. Raise and support vehicle. Remove exhaust pipe-to-exhaust manifold retaining bolts. Remove retaining nuts, exhaust manifold and gasket.
