Engine Identification: Notes

Engine may be identified by eighth character of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), stamped on metal tab fastened to driver's side of instrument panel. The VIN is also on Vehicle Certification (VC) label, located on left front door pillar.

An engine information label is attached to the timing belt cover. Label contains engine calibration number, engine build date, engine plant code and engine code. Engine calibration number may be required when ordering replacement components.
