This monitor warns driver of low oil, low radiator coolant, low fuel, or low washer fluid conditions. It also indicates when to change engine oil. Principal components of this system are an electronic module with integral display panel, coolant level sensor, washer fluid level sensor, combination oil level and temperature sensor, fuel sender and tachometer. Low oil level indicator is displayed when oil level is 1.5 quarts low or lower. Low coolant level indicator is displayed when coolant drops below cold fill line in overflow bottle. Low fuel indicator is displayed when tank is less than 1/8 full. Low washer fluid indicator is displayed when fluid drops to less than 1/3 full. Oil change indication is calculated from oil temperature and engine tachometer signals.
