Oil Pressure Indicator Light
Indicator light is connected between oil pressure sending unit and ignition coil terminal of ignition switch. Light should come on when ignition is in RUN position. Indicator light should go out within a few seconds after engine is started, indicating oil pressure is 4.5-7.5 psi (26-44 kPa). On some models, the oil pressure and coolant temperature share one common warning indicator. This indicator is identified by the word ENGINE on the warning indicator light bar.
NOTE:
On models with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) air conditioning systems, temperature sending unit has 2 terminals. The terminal marked "R" (gauge equipped) or "C" (indicator light equipped) provides a ground circuit for cold engine override of heater blower motor when engine temperature is less than 115°F (46°C).
