Coil Spring Suspension Models

  1. Raise vehicle on hoist. Support rear axle and pinion nose. Remove upper control arm-to-axle pivot bolt and arm-to-frame pivot bolt. Remove upper control arm. Install flat screwdriver in eccentric inner sleeve (accessible through attaching bolt hole). See Figure .
  2. Rotate cams an equal amount clockwise to decrease or counterclockwise to increase pinion angle. Ensure both upper arms are positioned the same.
  3. Install control arm using NEW pivot bolts and nuts. Nuts on frame end of control arm must face outward, and nuts on axle end must face inward. DO NOT  tighten at this time.
  4. Raise rear suspension to curb height and tighten pivot bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Recheck universal joint angle. Remove support from axle and lower vehicle.

    (1) Angles may be +/- 1/2 degree.
    (2) Information not available from manufacturer.
    (3) Universal joint angle should be +1.91 degrees.
    (4) Universal joint angle should be -0.48 degrees.
