Activating System (Mark VII, Sable, Taurus, Tempo & Topaz)

  1. Ensure battery POSITIVE cable is disconnected. Wait one MINUTE. Remove air bag simulator from connector. Reconnect driver's air bag connector to air bag module.
  2. Install driver's air bag module on steering wheel, and tighten nut and washer assemblies to 36-49 INCH lbs. (4.0-5.5 N.m). Reconnect positive battery cable. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
