Function Test (Continental, Cougar, Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Mark VII, Thunderbird & Town Car)

  1. Place transmission gear selector in Park position and mirror switch in HIGH position. Turn ignition on. Cover photocell on backside of mirror case.
  2. Shine a flashlight on photocell in upper right corner of mirror. Mirror should cycle from normal to non-glare. When light is removed from photocell, mirror should return to normal position. If mirror fails to cycle, perform ELECTRONIC REAR VIEW MIRROR INOPERATIVE test.
