Special Test Mode

NOTE: Prior to following symptoms chart, check instrument cluster using SPECIAL TEST MODE check.
  1. Depress E/M and SELECT simultaneously while turning ignition on. The cluster will enter SPECIAL TEST MODE and display information in the center display opening. Display includes a number in speedometer and 2 numbers in odometer. Tachometer bar is also illuminated. Left and right openings will be blank.
  2. If display in center opening flashes continuously, replace cluster. If display does not flash, turn ignition off to exit SPECIAL TEST MODE. Continue through diagnosis section as the cluster may or may not be faulty at this point.
