Speedometer Reads Constantly Too High Or Low
- Over a known distance, compare odometer reading with known distance traveled. If odometer is not accurate, remove speed sensor from transaxle and verify correct driven gear is installed for vehicle transaxle/tire combination. If parts are not correct, replace as necessary.
- If all parts are correct, check that correct drive gear is installed on transaxle output shaft. If gear is correct, replace cluster and affix odometer sticker to door pillar. If gear is not correct, install correct gear.
