Low Oil Level Indicator

This system consists of a float-type sensor, an electronic control relay and an instrument panel warning light. Low oil level sensor unit is a float-type sensor mounted through side of engine oil pan. If oil level is approximately 1.5 quarts or lower, indicator light will come on and stay on.

After engine stops, relay will not reset for 5 minutes. This time delay allows oil to drain back into crankcase. If engine is restarted during this delay period, indicator light will display last reading. As a bulb test, indicator light should come on and go off when starting engine.
