Undeployed Air Bag - Faulty

In the event that a driver air bag is diagnosed as faulty, the faulty air bag must be replaced by a new air bag. The faulty air bag CANNOT BE DISPOSED OF IN THE USUAL MANNER. It must be returned intact to Ford Motor Company for proper disposal.

The air bag must be packaged and shipped according to the U.S. Department of Transportation regulations. Retain packaging used for replacement air bag including the labeling. Do not deploy air bag. Return air bag according to the instructions provided with replacement air bag.
