Hesitates or Stalls On Acceleration

Definition: Momentary lack of response as the accelerator is pushed down. Can occur at any vehicle speed. Usually most severe when first trying to make the vehicle move, as from a stop sign. May cause the vehicle to stall if severe enough.

POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION

Poor or contaminated fuel - Check for excessive alcohol content
- Recommend higher grade fuel

Fuel Metering - Check air/fuel ratio, (O2 Sensor Voltage)
- Perform INJECTOR BALANCE TEST,
- Perform injector service (cleaning), refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
- Check fuel pressure, (check vacuum line and return hose)
