Rear Spindle: Installation

  1. Position spindle on strut mounting bracket. Install spindle-to-strut mounting bolts. Install trailing arm mounting bolt. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATION  table at end of this article.
  2. Install backing plate and brake drum, if drum brake equipped. Install rotor and caliper, if rear disc equipped. Install staked axle nut and dust cap. Tighten to specification. Install wheel and lower vehicle.
