Wheel Hub & Bearings: Installation

  1. Inspect hub and knuckle for cracks, wear or scoring. Install dust shield on knuckle.
  2. Position wheel bearing in steering knuckle. Press wheel bearing into knuckle. Install snap ring in knuckle. Install grease seal using Installer (T87C-1175-A).
  3. Press hub assembly into steering knuckle using a hydraulic press and fixture. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
