Oil Pan: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply silicone sealant at rear main bearing cap and front cover-to-cylinder block areas before installing oil pan.
  2. Apply Contact Adhesive (D7AZ-19B508-A) on gasket and install on oil pan. Tighten oil pan bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article.
  3. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Fill crankcase with oil. Fill cooling system with Ford Coolant (E2FZ-19549-A).


  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply silicone sealant at rear main bearing cap and front cover-to-cylinder block areas before installing oil pan.
  2. Apply Contact Adhesive (D7AZ-19B508-A) on gasket and install on oil pan. Tighten oil pan bolts to specification. See, TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article.
  3. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Fill crankcase with oil.
