Temperature Gauge Test
- Disconnect water temperature sensor connector. Water temperature sensor connector is located on top left rear side of engine.
- Connect one lead of Gauge System Tester (Rotunda 021-00055) to Yellow/Green wire at connector and other lead to ground. Set tester to specified resistance values. See TESTING TEMPERATURE GAUGE illustration.
- Turn ignition on (engine not running). Ensure gauge indicator needle displays correct values. Continue test for 2 minutes on each setting to correctly judge gauge condition. Allowable error is twice width of gauge needle.
- If readings are within range, go to TEMPERATURE SENSOR CHECK. If readings are not within range, replace temperature gauge.
