Temperature Gauge Inoperative

  1. Start engine and warm for 15 minutes. Shut engine off. Turn ignition on (engine not running). Check temperature gauge and warning lights for proper operation.
  2. If warning lights do not come on and temperature gauge always reads cold, see INSTRUMENT PANEL FUSE CHECK under INSTRUMENT PANEL TESTING.
  3. If warning lights come on and temperature gauge always reads cold, go to TEMPERATURE GAUGE CHECK.
  4. If temperature gauge always reads hot, go to TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHORT CHECK NO. 1. If temperature gauge is not accurate, go to TEMPERATURE GAUGE TEST.
