Fuel Gauge Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch on (engine not running). Check fuel gauge and warning lights for proper operation. If warning lights are inoperative and fuel gauge reads empty, see INSTRUMENT PANEL FUSE CHECK under INSTRUMENT PANEL TESTING.
  2. If warning lights are operative and fuel gauge reads empty, go to FUEL GAUGE CHECK. If fuel gauge always reads full, go to FUEL GAUGE SHORT CHECK NO. 1. If fuel gauge is not accurate, go to FUEL GAUGE TEST.
