Fuel Gauge Continuity Check No. 2

  1. Ground Black/Light Green wire. See IDENTIFYING FUEL TANK SENDING UNIT 6-PIN CONNECTOR illustration. Fuel tank sending unit 6-pin connector is located on front of fuel tank.
  2. Observe fuel gauge reading. If fuel gauge reads correctly, repair Black/Light Green wire between fuel tank sending unit and ground. If fuel gauge does not read correctly, ground Black/Light Green wire at harness connector. If fuel gauge reads correctly, repair Black/Light Green wire between harness connector and instrument panel. If gauge reads incorrectly, replace fuel tank sending unit.
