Instrument Panel: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel. Remove 2 screws securing steering column cover. Remove cover.
  2. Remove 9 attaching screws from panel module. See Figure . Carefully pull panel module outward to gain access to electrical connections.
  3. Disconnect 7 electrical connectors from cover. Remove ignition illumination bulb. Remove panel module.
  4. Loosen 2 cover hinge screws. See Figure . Remove 6 screws from instrument panel cover. Remove cover.
    NOTE: Ensure rubber seal joining upper and lower portion of panel cover trim panels is not ripped during removal and installation.
  5. Remove lower panel trim panel. Remove 4 screws attaching panel. Disconnect 3 electrical connectors from back of panel. Remove panel.
