Test TX: No Cluster Warning Tone When Thermometer Symbol Is Blinking

  1. Review Operation/Verify Condition

Gauge driver alert tone is not active until engine speed is at least 300 RPM or valid oil pressure has been detected (vehicle has been started). Warning chime module will not produce cluster warning tones if another warning sound is being produced. Driver alert is only given for temperatures above normal band.
  2. Check Warning Chime

Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Press any cluster control button switch, and listen for cluster warning tones. If warning tone is working, system is okay. If warning tone is not working, go to TEST SA.
