Test TF: No Cluster Warning Tone When Oil Can Symbol Blinks

NOTE: Oil pressure sending unit contacts close when oil pressure reaches 6 psi. Gauge alert warning tone is not active until engine speed is at least 300 RPM or oil pressure is detected. Warning chime module will not produce cluster warning tones if another warning sound is being produced.

  1. Check Warning Chime

    Start vehicle. Press any cluster control button switch, and listen for cluster warning tones. If cluster warning tone is working, system is okay. If cluster warning tone is not working, go to TEST SA  .
