Test SL: Speed Alarm Cannot Be Set, Does Not Respond To Speed Button

  1. Review Operation

Speed alarm will not set or cluster control button switch will not produce a cluster warning tone unless vehicle is moving more than 20 MPH (32 KM/H). If this condition has been met and system is not operating properly, go to next step.
  2. Check For Button Tone

With vehicle moving more than 20 MPH (32 KM/H), press SPEED button, and listen for cluster warning tones. If cluster warning tones can be heard but speed alarm did not set, replace Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC). See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If cluster warning tones cannot be heard, go to TEST SA  .
