Fuel Sender/Pump Unit

  1. Connect ohmmeter lead to ground terminal or housing, and other lead to resistance terminal. With float at EMPTY position, ohmmeter should be 75 ohms (22.5 ohms on magnetic-type gauge).
  2. With float at FULL position, resistance should be 10 ohms (145 ohms on magnetic-type gauge). Resistance change should be smooth as float is moved. If readings are incorrect or resistance change readings jump erratically, replace sender/pump unit.
