Diagnostic Bars

Diagnostic bars are displayed in temperature and fuel gauge displays only. Diagnostic bars indicate engine coolant temperature and amount of fuel in gas tank, respectively. When poor signal inputs or sending unit malfunctions, display will illuminate top 2 and bottom 2 segment bars on gauge. International Standards Organization (ISO) symbols are positioned below each gauge. These ISO symbols may flash, be illuminated or go out (extinguish) to warn driver a problem in that circuit has been detected or when gauge malfunction has occurred. To further diagnose fuel gauge, select DISTANCE TO EMPTY function with SELECT cluster control button switch. If circuit is open, it will be displayed as "CO". If circuit is shorted to ground, will be displayed as "CS". See Figure .
