Temperature Gauge Display Blanks Out Thermometer Symbol & Lights Top 2 & Bottom 2 Bars Of Gauge
- Unplug wire to temperature sender. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Temperature gauge should indicate cold with bottom bar illuminated. If temperature gauge indicates as specified, replace temperature sender.
- If temperature gauge does not indicate as specified, disconnect battery ground cable. unplug wire to temperature sender. Remove cluster. Measure resistance between pins No. 4 and 8 of cluster connector "A". If resistance is greater than 15k/ohms, replace cluster and affix odometer sticker to door pillar. If resistance is less than 15k/ohms, Check wiring in circuit No. 39 for shorts.
